Check and Merge Duplicate Accounts

You will need to log into your Navatar system using the Admin login

Steps to check Duplicates Accounts 

The below steps are to identifying potential duplicate accounts (based on Account Name).  

Step 1: Login into your Navatar Admin account. Click the Gear icon in the top-right corner and select Developer Console from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: In the Developer Console, press Ctrl + E (Windows) or Cmd + E (Mac) to open the "Enter Apex Code" dialog box.

Step 3: Copy/Paste the below script in the dialog box. Ensure the “Open Log” checkbox is checked and click Execute.

Step 4: Once the script is executed, Click on File on the top left, then select “Open Raw Log”.

Step 5: Scroll through the logs to locate the lines starting with Account: {Id=. Copy the duplicate account data and paste it into an Excel or Word document for reference.

Steps to Merge Duplicate Accounts: 

Step 1: Switch to the Classic version by clicking on your profile avatar (top right) and select Switch to Salesforce Classic.

Step 2: Go to Firm/Account object and scroll at the bottom to “Tools” option and click on “Merge Firms/Accounts”.

Step 3: Search for the Account Name which you want to merge in the search field and click on Find Firms.

Step 4: Select the accounts records which you want to merge and click on “Next”.

You can merge up to 3 duplicate records at a time. If there are more than 3 duplicates, simply repeat the process for the remaining records.

Step 5: Choose the Master Record (the primary account you want to keep), select the data to retain for each field, and click Merge to complete the process.
