Registering a Verification Method for Multi-Factor Authentication

Step 1: Download the Salesforce Authenticator app for iOS from the App Store or for Android from the Google Play store.

Step 2: Open Salesforce Authenticator and press Skip Tour (Top Right Side).

Step 3: The app will ask to enter a mobile number that can be used to back up accounts. If using the app for the first time, click Skip (top Right Side).

Step 4: To connect the app to your Salesforce account, login to your Navatar Account. Click on the “Profile” icon on top left of your screen. Click on the “Settings” option.

Step 5: In the Quick Find box on the left, search and then select Advanced User Details.

Step 6: Find App Registration: Salesforce Authenticator and click “Connect”.

Step 7: For security purposes, you’re sometimes prompted to either log in to your account again or enter a verification code sent via email or text message.

Step 8: Open the Salesforce Authenticator app on your mobile device. If you’re opening the app for the first time, you see a tour of the app’s features. Take the tour, or go straight to adding your Salesforce account to the app.

Step 9: In the app, tap “Add an Account”. The app generates a unique two-word phrase.

Step 10: In your Salesforce browser window, enter the phrase in the Two-Word Phrase field. Click Connect.

Step 11. In the Salesforce Authenticator app on your mobile device, you see details about the account you’re connecting. To complete the account connection, tap Connect in the app.
