Create and add a field on Page Layout

You will need to log into your Navatar system using the Admin login

Step 1: Login into your Navatar Admin Account.

Step 2: In the Navigation bar, select the object where you want to create and add a field.

Step 3: Now, click on the Gear icon and select “Edit Object” from the dropdown.

Step 4: Navigate to the left-hand menu and click on “Field and Relationships’ and then click on “New” button.

Step 5: Select the “Data Type” (Text, Number, Lookup) of the field you want to create.

Step 6: Enter field details and click Next.

  • Field Label

  • Field Name (auto-populated)

  • Length (if applicable)

  • Description (optional)

  • Help Text (optional)

Step 7: On the page that follows, select the user profile that should have access to this field and click “Next”. (By default, all profiles will be selected)

Step 8: Select the record types on the object on which you want to make this field visible (In case Object has record types). Click on “Save”.

Adjust the field position on the Page Layout

Step 1: Navigate to the left-hand menu and click on “Page Layout”. Open the layout you want to modify.

Step 2: Use the Quick Find search box to locate the field by its label. Click on the field to view its current position on the layout.

To reposition the field, drag it to the desired spot and click "Save" to apply the changes.
