Change Record Type on an Account

Updated over 7 months ago

This article explains how users can change the record type of an existing Account in Navatar. Record types define different business processes and page layouts and switching them can help align the Account with the correct workflow (e.g., changing an Account from "Company" to "Portfolio Company").

⚠️ You must have the necessary profile permissions to change record types on Accounts. If you don’t see the option, contact your system admin.

Step 1: Log into Navatar

Use your user login credentials to access the Navatar system.

Step 2: Open the Account record for which you want to change the record type.

Step 3: Click the “Change Record Type” Button

Once you are on the Account detail page, click the dropdown arrow in the top-right corner of the record page. Then select “Change Record Type” from the list of available actions.
